Tito Flavio Josefo fue un historiador judío que escribió algunas obras clave sobre la revuelta e historia judía. Para el cristianismo su trabajo es clave ya que afirma gran parte del testimonio del los Evangelios.
Los escritos de este hombre son un importante testimonio de muchos eventos y personajes del primer siglo que guardan relación con las narraciones del Nuevo Testamento. Su trabajo literario se considera hoy una fuente primaria para comprender mejor el mundo en el que Jesús y la primera iglesia vivieron.
